style_system | Converting LJ's Gradient Strip Layout

Hi, I'm probably asking for the impossible here.

I've always liked Livejournal's Gradient Strip layout - if anybody still remembers it ;) I've had it as my LJ layout for years and luckily never changed it as they've since done away with it, like a lot of other orginal LJ layouts *eye roll*

and would like to know if anybody can convert it for DW? I had a little go myself as I used to mess around with LJ layouts years ago and wasn't too bad at it but DW's coding just completely throws me.

Anyway any help would be much appreciated, thanks :)

I can give it a go when I have a bit of free time! Two things though - do you have it live on LJ still, just so I can see it? And do you want just the appearance cloned, or the entire underlying HTML/CSS structure? Appearance-only will probably be faster, and will give you access to stuff DW has that LJ doesn't, but you'd have to rewrite existing CSS customizations you've made with new names and whatnot.

I do like the sound of being able to use DW features as LJ's are a bit more basic aren't they....so yes I think I'll go with the quicker and maybe easier option.
