[personal profile] mergatrude posting in [community profile] style_system
Hi!

I'm tizzying up the [community profile] month_of_june with a banner, however I can't figure out how to get the banner to either:

1) move down in the header so it's below (and no longer covered by) the "Recent Entries/Archive/Member Posts/Tags/Memories/Profile" links bar, or

2) move the links bar so it's below the header, or

3) if I put the banner in using

#canvas {
background-image: url(http://ic.pics.livejournal.com/mergatrude/1028676/101700/101700_original.png);
background-repeat: no-repeat;
background-position: top center;
padding-top: 200px;
} (snaffled from another post to this community)

how do I remove the dark grey header bar?

(Level of expertise = c&p code and change the numbers)

Thank you kindly!

1) Try this: increase the height of the header (from 200px to 250px or something like that) and change the image position to bottom center instead of top center.

You're most welcome!

Did you put the image in the header with the customize options wizard?

If you did, go to that page again and change the second drop down box to "bottom center".

That will sit the image at the bottom of the header, with a space above it for the navigation links. On my screen it looked fine like that.

If you did add the image using custom css, go back to where you added it and just change the word "top" to "bottom" in the code.
