Customizing colors of navigation strip in Abstractia [now a DW feature]

Hello,

I've been testing and really like the Abstractia layout (Seelie). But I would love to be able to customize the Navigation strip to fit the color theme, instead of the default choice light gray or dark gray, for this journal, and another. Even if it is just flat black with font colors that match the layouts. Is there a CSS for that?

Very possible. Do you have a hex color you want to shoot for? How much transparency?

Oh, hi!

#000000 is fine with the gradient if that is easier (I didn't relize it was a gradient for customized colors for the navigation bar), with #1818fd for the link fonts. Transparency isn't an issue, but if it's easy to do, the same value as the darker transparancy of the Abstractia Seelie layout, like the entry headers. I don't know the values for that.

If there is a conflict between gradient and transparency, I'll take the transparancy.

Just as a heads-up, I'm (hopefully) going to initialize custom navstrip colors by the next codepush, across all layouts :) Not that it's an immediate fix, but it's on the radar (we've got the backend stuff all there, but nothing actually uses it right now)

I have another question. Backgrounds. I have one journal with a background that had a single image that covered the entire area behind the journal with no tiling (Imported flexible squares). Now it's been changed so I have to tile it if I want the entire area covered. Otherwise the image takes one small spot, as if it was confined to one small area like the top left corner if that alignment is selected in the customization. I've noticed the same thing with this journal, even with large images that would normally cover the area if I don't have "tiled" selected in images. Any image I try, even a 1600x800pix ends up small, as if taking only one tile space, if I have tiling not selected.

Hmmm. Can you link me the big image you're trying to use to tile? I'll poke at it. Abstractia is one of our non-standard layouts so sometimes it does things a little oddly. The default should be to do one tile at full size for whatever the base image is, if tiling's not selected. So a big image should, well, stay big.

I figured it out. The images I was linking to changed in size from lj's changes to the scrap book that I am linking from. They weren't being shown at original size by their default link, so I used the "original" link. Both of my journals are now showing the image in the background as they should.
