Was wondering about adding additional fonts to layouts.
For instance if I wanted the subject heading in my entries to be italicized.
Would it be text?
Been looking at quite a few themes and fonts to give me some ideas for a layout.
If I wanted to add another font that's not on the list like bradley script for example (I think that's the name of the font).
How does one go about doing that?
And Thank You for this very helpful community. :)

.entry-title{font-style: italic; } should do the trick for your entry subjects. Copy & paste the css code into the Custom CSS area.

Not sure about adding different fonts to your style, but hopefully someone else can help you here :)

The only fonts you can use in your layout are those that are browser safe. Unfortunately it's quite a short list and Bradley Hand isn't on it. Here's a handy list with examples of each font, plus the CSS code you need to use them.

You can use any font you have installed on your computer at http://www.dreamwidth.org/customize/options?group=fonts. Simply add or replace whatever is there with the name of the font (e.g. 'Bradley Script').

But bear in mind that people not using your machine will instead see it in whatever font they've got installed that's close to it, so if I look at your layout I won't see it in Bradley Script, it'll probably be Palatino Linotype as that's my preferred serif font. This can be a problem if your positioning requires the font to be a certain size.

And yes, you can also use inline styling on the title: <i>text</i> or <em>text</em>. Which comes in pretty handy for those of us who use normal-style title text but want to italicize it now and then.
