[personal profile] fizzyblogic posting in [community profile] style_system
Hi everyone :)

I'm using the Modular layout, and love everything about it — except that text in blockquote is automatically in italics, overriding and ignoring any italics tags within the text. I can't find anywhere in the wizard to change it, and I was wondering if there was some CSS thing I could do. I'd really prefer it if there was no extra coding on blockquote on my journal, just the indenting. Is there a way to do this in Modular?

I know basically nothing about CSS except where to copy/paste code I'm given, heh. If anyone could help, I'd be grateful. Thanks.

Change this:

blockquote { padding: 1em 1em .5em 2em;
    font-style: italic;  }

to whatever you want it to be. Or just take out the font-style completely.

If you just want to use the custom CSS method, add: blockquote {font-style: normal;} and you should be good to go.
