Just a quick post ex officio to express my warmest gratitude to everyone reading. Even when real life eats me for months at a time, you wonderful people continue to make this community everything I ever hoped it might possibly aspire to, and then some.

I'd also like to informally seek comments on the comm style. I know it's beautiful, and I totally adore branchandroot and dancing_serpent and their awesome design skills, but we've had the same style for a somewhat long time now. How do y'all feel about another call for our artistic community to showcase their skills and whip up some candidates for a new theme?

I think a new year calls for a new style! :D (Though I'm also fond of the current style.)

I would love a new style. This one is a bit too blocky and large for my tastes. XD

I'm not the biggest fan of the current style so I'd love something new for the new year!

Maybe a poll from one of the current styles available on the Select Style page?

Oh, no, that would never do! ;) After all, we want to encourage our artistic types to push the boundaries of the system with new stuff - that would then be made available to all, of course.

Then they can be submitted to dreamscapes or dreamwidthlayouts.

That's more or less what I had in mind. I'm pondering over the format, time frame, rules, etc.
