I'd like to add an image header to my page.

Unfortunately, I can't find any documentation to the point of even the preferred size of one. Looking at http://www.dreamwidth.org/customize/options?group=images just asks for an image.

Is there documentation for how this works, what preferred/allowed sizes of headers are, anything of that nature?

I have a couple questions for you:

* What image are you trying to add?
* How do you want it to work out?

As far as I know you can add anything you want, in .gif, .jpg or .png formats; everything else is personal preference. If you just want a single-image, not a tiled thing, it'll depend on what sized browser you want to optimise your layout for, too.

You have to display: none; the text classes, which are standardised in all but one layout, I think, so it should be
h1#title {display: none}
h2#pagetitle {display: none}

(You're using Nightfall for Fluid Measure, right? It's best to give the layout type not the theme name. Which probably isn't the right terminology either, but! *flails* The one where the layout changes, not the colours. Yes.)

*scrolls up* Oh, right. Well, it looks like it should work, and I went to your journal and it seems to work? It's a really really wide header image; even with my browser maximised there's a twenty, thirty pixel overflow? Something like that. But it looks fine other than that, to me, uh. Is there sommat in particular you wanted?

(Also hiiiii. |D I know that URL. Small world~~)

*nods* Yeah, that makes sense!

Huh! Weird. Of course, almost all my CSS I've learned from futzing, so. *laughs*

|D I'm not subtle!
