Importing bump in the road

I joined about three days ago and am just now taking the time to poke around DW to get familiar with it. I'm trying to import my Flexible Squares layout over from LJ following parapsychic's guide, and I alllllmost got it save for one thing: names aren't showing up under people's icons, so I have absolutely no idea whose post is whose (I can't remember everyone's icons, and some people use very similar icons, so trying to figure out who's who based on icon isn't an option). On LJ, it has their names directly below their icon, and if they posted in a community, the community (and a link to it) is available directly below their name in brackets.

Also, the subjects aren't turning into links to individual entries.

I could do without the latter if necessary, but being able to see people's names and communities is vital. Any ideas on how to fix this?

Can I ask you something possibly silly? Did you copy the CSS I gave you from your gmail / other email account, rather than from this page directly?

Guilty as charged, so it wasn't a silly question! I didn't know Gmail did that or I wouldn't have done so XD I just copied it over from this post, and now it works! ♥

One more question, and I'll leave you alone: If I wanted to switch the position of the sidebar from the right to the left, where would I modify that? *feels silly* I used to know CSS, but that was 5-6 years ago xX Now it's Greek to me. *fail*

You don't need CSS! Just go to "Customize theme" and look for the option that says "Two column (sidebar on right)" and switch it to "Two column (sidebar on left)".
