Thanks! Took some digging to fix the appropriate code, but it's working now. :D

how did you get smooth sailing to work? i seem to be having no end of compiling errors.

Make sure you create the top-level layer first & that the core version is set to 1. Then, you create a layout-specific layer.

that was all fine, apparently my problem was that i was using the "new" source code which doesn't work properly. i found the old one though, so it's working now :)
