I just found a lovely layout, but I would love to know how to add a header. Sorry, I have no idea how.

Thanks.

Question: how do you want this header to work? Ie, background, or offset from everything else?

No apologies necessary! Questions like yours are what this community is for. And I don't think I was making good sense--not a lot of sleep last night!

Basically, if it's going to be a background, it'll go behind the journal title. If it's going to be offset, it means we'll try and make so nothing is over when it shows.

Do you want the title to BE your header? Ie, hide the text title and just use your image?

Do you want to keep the flairs of the Nouveau style in the header area?

Do you have the image up at a URL somewhere? (Unfortunately, DW does not have image hosting yet.) If so, I can make some CSS for you to add and use.

Alrighty, if you could give me a link for it that would be dandy!

New thread!

I'm impressed you are doing it from your phone! Okay, here is some CSS you can use:

#title span { display: none; }
#title {
width: 718px;
height: 503px;
background-image: url(http://i1181.photobucket.com/albums/x428/knowmefirst0/0807262054271bp_glass_-2.jpg);
background-repeat: none;
}

Put it in the big box here:

And you should be good. Let me know if you need any more help!

I know this was waaaayyy back, but I found this very helpful! Is there a way to center that image, something to add to that piece of code that would do that?

Thank you very much! (and it's all helpful when you know literally nothing of css save that that's what the funky journal code is called. :p )
