Formatting Cut-Tags?!

I have a question: I would just like to ask how to go about formatting the Cut Tag? I've tried:

span.cuttag a
.cuttag a

and nothing happened. I would like to change the link style and remove the arrow (if possible).

Sorry, if this has been posted elsewhere. My search came up with no results.

*nod* Considering how "AJAX cuts" [that you click on the arrow next to the cut tag, and the rest of the entry loads immediately without you leaving the page you're on!] are considered core functionality by a large percentage of Dreamwidth people I know, I would be very wary of making journal style adjustments that remove [this] functionality. Prettify and make your journal look unique, great! Just keep it *usable*.

Seconded; I personally would not use a theme that didn't have cut expansion (using LJ frustrates the heck out of me these days for that reason).
