Little icons

I'm using this layout by [personal profile] sarken and am having a few problems with it.

In the preview, it shows a tiny icon for the link "Grant Access" (a little key) in the topbar. I have uploaded the image to my own server and replaced http://yoursite/images/ with the correct url, but that icon doesn't show up. I'm having the same problem with the tiny icon for other DW users. All the other tiny icons do show up. Any idea why?

Also, I would actually like to set the calendar to the same height as the rest of the topbar. Right now, the bottom sticks out a bit. Yet I have no idea what to edit in the CSS.

My CSS:

ETA: SOLVED the issue with the tiny user icon. :)

1. Well, since I'm in your access list, the 'give access' image doesn't show because I've already given you access. The image changes to 'access remove' and you haven't set that in your css. The same goes for 'unsubscribe'. So make sure that 'access_grant' and 'access_remove' have the same background url. Do the same for the subscriptions.

2. Be sure to change the img url of this line as well to the DW userhead of your choice:
img[src*='user.png'], img[src*='lj-userinfo.gif'], img[src*='userinfo.gif'], img[src*='user_other.png'], img[src*='user_staff.png'], img[src*='.ico']

3. Add background-color: #8D8589; to .has-navstrip #secondary. This gives that section a background color, so that it all looks level. You may want to play with the margins of .topnav, if you want more spacing between that top section and the top page navigation links.

Hopefully, this makes sense. I'm a bit sleep deprived.

Network is a paid account feature. It shows up for journals with paid accounts regardless if they have subscribed to rss feeds. It's Dreamwidth's version of friendsoffriends, and that is also only available to paid accounts.

Also, I was reading your other query about Active Entries, and unfortunately for you, that's a paid account feature as well. It won't show up for you in modules so you can't turn it off and it will show up when you view paid account journals in your style. The next best thing is adding this to your css:
.module-active { display: none; }

You can hide that module using css!

I'm not on your access list, so I can see the 'Access Grant' tiny icon.

I'm not 100% certain this is the problem, but I think you need to make sure to define the location of the images in the block under /* ICONS */ as well as (instead of?) under the /* LOCKED AND RESTRICTED ENTRIES */ block. (FYI, there are number of other icons that aren't defined under the icons block as well, but they're less used functions so you may not have noticed.)

I'm not all that good with CSS though, so I might just be mucking things up. Be sure to save a copy of the previous version if I'm wrong so you can revert if necessary. :)

re: the calendar, are you using the updated CSS? i know when [personal profile] sarken first posted it, she posted an older version that didn't have the edit for the calendar. that said, in the comments to the the post on [community profile] dreamwidthlayouts, [personal profile] foxfirefey was having the same issue after altering the code and i don't know if that was resolved.
