Another question, since you were so quick to answer the last one.

In Transmogrified, is there a way to eliminate the text "(no subject)" on comments without subjects? I've hunted around quite a bit and can't find anybody even asking this question (I'm guess I'm really picky!). You can see what I'm talking about on this post. I know over on lj on my smooth sailing layout, there is no text on the subject line for comments with no subject, and I'm hopeful there's a way to do it on transmogrified here.

Thanks in advance.

Short answer to your question is: It's going to take editing layers. But, if you are up for that, I'd be happy to walk you through it.

This works for me:

.comment-title a[title*="(no subject)"] {
display: none;
}

Hi,

I was digging around for an answer to this same question (along with another about how to remove the prev/next from the top of the page, which I found) and found your reply.

I should mention that I'm very new to Dw and have virtually no knowledge of CSS aside from simply copying/pasting basic stuff like what you've posted here.

So, I tried this code, but it doesn't quite do what I want it to, as although it does remove the text, it also shrinks down the box that text would normally sit in, which pushes other elements out of alignment causing the icon to partially hide the username, like this

Since you seem very knowledgeable, I thought I'd ask you if there was an alternative way of doing this that wont affect things this way?

Thanks in advance

I may think of something later but, for now, I'm a bit clueless. Pushing the poster name lower is easy enough (.comment-poster { margin-top: 1em; }) but this would apply to any comment. I don't know how to restrict it comments w/ subjects or how to remove the blue background. I suggest you post a new entry to see if someone else can help.

[However, you may be happy to know we have a bug open to make it easy to turn the 'display (no subject) text' on and off. I'm working on it actually. :)]
