Time/date display for comments

Being British, I don't like the way that the date in comments in my journal is displayed the American way, with the month first. Is there any way of changing it from '10-24-2010' to either '24/10/2010' or '24th Oct 2010'?

Well, I'm not sure what layout you use on LJ, but I checked [livejournal.com profile] s2_bloggish and it displays the date/time in US format on entries and in UK format on comments and in reply mode.
