Hi! I've been creating layouts for LJ and DW for years. I've been using Transmogrified and Tabula Rasa mainly (and also Practicality lately).
I was wondering how people get the base stylesheets to create under other styles? Is there a place or certain way to do so? Because it feels like I'm the only one out of the loop xD
I love creating layouts for DW and love it when people enjoy them, so I want to branch out a bit! Any and all help is appreciated. Thank you!

The public layers are under advanced customization. They're over here: https://www.dreamwidth.org/customize/advanced/layerbrowse
Pick a layout and then go to raw source code. I think that's what you're looking for.

The compiler will complain and tell you what it is, I unfortunately can't remember). Then you can make edits to that copy instead.

Most of the Tabula Rasa-based styles only differ from TR in the additional CSS (and in some cases, the ability to put the navlinks in the header instead of the sidebar). A small few add a little bit more (eg, Librarian's Dream has some stuff to print the userpics at a smaller size without distorting them) but it's mostly all CSS.
