Header title

I apologize. I know this has been covered here before but I've tried a few things (and looked through the help guide) and I'm not making any progress.

I'd like to remove the header image text/subtext.

This is my theme:



I'm thinking it's possible the commands I'm trying to implement into the CSS just aren't going in the right place. I used to be much more fluent in CSS than I am presently and I'm giving myself a headache trying to figure this out.

Any help would be appreciated. Thanks! This has been solved. Thank you!

Not sure if I'm understanding you correctly, do you want the header box? If so maybe:

#header .inner {
  display: none;
}

If you just want the whole box gone:

#header {
  display: none;
}

Or something else?

Sorry. I want the text itself gone -- the journal title and subtitle. I have an image I'd like to use instead.

I think you can remove those in Customize Journal Style -- just edit the title and subtitle to be blank? I don't think you need to mess with the CSS at all.

That was actually the first thing I tried. It defaulted to my username. That's when I started to rely on Google and ended up here.

Didn't work. :-( Now it's just my username and "Recent Entries"

Which I've decided is better, but still not what I'd like. But I can live with it if there's not a way to get rid of it.

Weird! I could have sworn I'd done it that way before.

You might want to give this a try:

#title, #pagetitle {
 visibility: hidden;
}

That should do the trick visually. It only hides the text, which means you can keep your journal title in the page for accessibility purposes. Win-Win !

I realize this is an old comment, but thanks for this! It was exactly what I needed after switching to a journal header with prettier text already included. :)
