Installing a custom LJ style on DW?

Hello!

I'm trying to see if I can use a custom LJ style on DW. When I tried to choose "unstyled", I got an error message; any help/instructions would be appreciated.

The style of the custom layout is S2 Expressive--will this kind work on DW?

I had to create a custom layer to get my flexible squares layouts working. I used this tutorial. Unfortunately I couldn't find mention of Expressive.. but I am pretty sure that I've found the expressive source code

Kaosah is right. You need to follow the instructions given in the tutorial:

* Create a layout layer at https://www.dreamwidth.org/customize/advanced/layers under Core1.
* Edit this new layer to add the Expressive source code
* Create a theme layer and edit it to use Nika's customizations
* Create a style at https://www.dreamwidth.org/customize/advanced/styles using these two layers * * Click on use to use it

As Expressive is not a DW layout, and we have stopped supporting Core1 you may end up with errors when trying to edit it in, though. You'll have to fix these before you can use Nika's theme. :/

I get an error message at the editing the new layer stage.

Unfortunately, all the layouts I like use Expressive.

I did the custom layer/style thing for Expressive a while back. Man, it was a long time ago. I can't remember my exact process for doing it lol but here is my modified layer source code if it helps? It was created as a "Child of layer 1: LiveJournal S2 Core, v1."

Not sure why you're getting errors but if you could say more about what they are, maybe someone could help.
