i recently purchased a paid account for a different journal and noticed that a 'network' link was added to that journal's header menu. i've looked up and down, googled, checked every tab on the Customize page but i can't seem to find how to remove just the network link...! i'm using smooth sailing imported from LJ via
starlit's tutorial here. is this something that can be done? i don't mind it being there, but i don't really have a use for it on the layout.
also! having ported the layer from LJ, a lot of its functions are LJ-specific. for example: on LJ, all icons displayed will link to the respective user's icon page. the link for user icons looks like this:
which wouldn't work on DW, as icon pages here are structured as http://USER.dreamwidth.org/icons/. i tried, uh, merely changing things around and using but this doesn't work; it gives me a compiling error. any help would be so very appreciated at this point!

Someone may need to double-check the syntax and specific element, here.
I don't know a whole lot about S2, but it is possible that your compiling error is because there are other LJ-specific things that are messing with it? Maybe.
