We had a code push last night! With that push comes a handful of style-related updates.

1) Navigation menu LIs are now directly targetable! No more extra spacing or having to muck around with nth-child syntax - they now have the class 'list-item-'.

2) Librarian's Dream will now use header images correctly instead of covering them up with background fill.

3) Custom styles that don't use the default stylesheet will now get the <meta name="viewport" content="width=device-width, initial-scale=1.0"/> tag as well - this may cause older layouts that weren't designed for mobile to look a little wonky on it. You can turn this off in your account settings by checking 'Turn off mobile view for this device'.

4) The Advanced Layers section now has a new editor that actually has the features people expect in a code editor in 2019 instead of being a glorified textarea.

My current layout is Librarian's Dream, and I've been playing with Mobility on my test journal. I've run across a couple things in both that I can't figure out how to wrangle.

Librarian's Dream

1. Multilevel tags: I've noticed that some multilevel tags display oddly. Basically, when there's an x:y:z tag, what's displayed is x:y, and then z as if it had been tagged x:z rather than x:y:z. Does anyone know how to fix this and add an extra indent to third-level tags?

2. The profile icon has a bit of padding underneath it. I'd like to either remove that padding, or add equivalent padding above + to the left, so that the icon appears more centered. Is either of those possible?

Mobility

This is less urgent, I've just been poking at the style and trying to figure out what I can and can't do.

3. Is it possible to make the border disappear on the next/previous button, and the [flat/top level comments only] bar on entries? (Or, for that matter, to get rid of all borders on everything?) I've been able to figure how to turn most borders on and off, but those have eluded me.

4. Is it possible to set a background image for comments, next/previous, archive, tags page, etc, as it is for the entries/modules/header? (I'm trying to use a (hopefully unobtrusive) textured image instead of a solid color, basically.)

5. If the latter is not possible: is it possible to change link & text color only on the next/previous?

Hello all,

I'm on a devious mission to convert my friend to DW make my friend happier with her DW by helping make her layout closer to her LJ one (she uses Compact over there). I've made my own journal into a testing lab with Librarian's Dream as my base. This community's archives have been deeply helpful, but I'm running up against the limits of my hunt-and-fiddle knowledge of CSS and I still need to get my laundry done today.

Here is a screen grab of where I am now.

Is anyone able to help me with:

Thank you in advance for any insight you're able to provide!

EDIT: solved, thank you!

I'm currently using Antares for Librarian's Dream. I have my tags organized under multiple tiers - e.g. creative, creative:rec, creative:rec:podfic - but this style shows only two tiers - i.e., creative:rec and creative:rec:podfic show up on my tag sidebar as creative:rec and, underneath, creative:podfic.

Can anyone help me? I have zero knowledge of CSS, so you'll have to start with pretty basic steps, probably. ^^;;;

(Mods, could I have a tag for layout: librarian's dream? Thanks!)
