Help With Zesty?

I have a question that I'm hoping someone can help me with. I've been working on a theme layer for the Zesty layout for my personal journal, and I'm wondering how to add extra boxes next to the links & calendar. I want to have a tag list (or tag cloud) and a free text box if possible, but I'm not sure how to go about it. I'm a paid user, but I'm testing the theme over at testing123. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

I'm afraid I can't offer any assistance with these issues, but I did see earlier at dw_styles that they're still working on Zesty. It's possible that what you're wanting to do will become a whole lot easier in just a bit. (Or, I suppose, that changes you make now will be bolloxed when they update. :(   )

Oh, I didn't know that. Hopefully my changes won't go too awry when they update the layout.
