Can anyone point me in the right direction?

I am a total noob when it comes to styles. I am another LJ refugee *waves* and 'over there' I use a style called "Agent Orange". I have no idea whether it's S1 or S2 (don't even know what those are, TBH) or what other style it might be based on, but I'd like to replicate it on DW as best I can.

Can someone point me in the direction of a good, SIMPLE tutorial on how to do this? I found this one but it's all greek to me, I'm afraid: http://starlit.dreamwidth.org/272.html I've seen people referring to this as a "basic" tutorial so that kind of scares me! LOL But I'm determined to give this a go, if I can. I don't know where to find the coding for my LJ layout either.

Sorry to request such detailed hand-holding...if there's another comm for which this request is better suited, please feel free to direct me there.

Thanks in advance!

:D :D Glad that worked for you! DW's customization options for layouts are awesome and wide-ranging. Exploring through them can show you some choices you might never have considered before! Plus, once you've learned the CSS for one layout, you've learned it for all of them. No more trying to hold three different systems in your head because sometimes you use Smooth Sailing, sometimes it's Flexible Squares, and sometimes it's something else entirely. o.O
