Image and header questions

I was told that imgur was a good hosting site, but when I try to post imgur links, dreamwidth gives me a broken link respons. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?

Also, I find that my header image will only appear in Opera, but not in Chrome or Firefox. Again, any ideas?

Um, don't use imgur for file hosting. From their TOS, emphasis added:

Stuff not to do

[...] Also, don't use Imgur to host image libraries you link to from elsewhere, content for your website, advertising, avatars, or anything else that turns us into your content delivery network. If you do – and we will be the judge – or if you do anything illegal, in addition to any other legal rights we may have, we will ban you along with the site you're hotlinking from, delete all your images, report you to the authorities if necessary, and prevent you from viewing any images hosted on Imgur.com. We mean it.

There are anecdotal tales of them blocking at least one fansite completely because of hotlinking.

I use Photobucket and always have, and have never had any issue with my header banner not showing up in my DW!

Two words: Adblock Plus - drastically reduce the number of annoying and irritating ads you can see, right across the Internet! I'm still truly thankful that DW are committed to keeping DW ad-free, though.

Can't remember where I got the icon from, but it's one of my favourites!

Disclaimer: I'm on the Support team for the Archive, but I'm not on the Support team for DW. Flikr or Photobucket are the obvious two. There is a hack to Dropbox that's ::touch wood:: working on the Archive; I've not tested it here.
